Why I decided to become an educator of this occupational skill and open a exclusive "Threading Academy"....
Having professionally threaded and shaped innumerable eyebrows for 27 years (and still loving the work I do), I have long time clients who come in just for brow maintenance year after year, as their brows have already reached a level of perfection to suit them.
So now all they really need is a good threading techincian, to maintain them further. I don't have to work on them,
every single time. Though I would be very happy to, but you see I am on this serious mission, to save or restore as many brows as I can every single day.
I can only work on so many clients in a day, because of time constraints and the limited working hours I can physically put in(after having survived the much dreaded "C"). My clients often said to me, that they would trust their brows to someone I had personally trained if I was unable to work on them because of my schedule. Hmmm...and so I thought.....
Clients all over the country, are looking for expert " Threading Practitioners" they can trust their brows to.
When new clients first come in, they vent out their terrible experiences at the hands of an inexperienced, untrained or improperly trained threaders.
They describe the horrors of their skin being pinched and bleeding and bad shaping at their hands.
As a result, they are so terrified that they are put off, even by the thought of getting threaded!!
.....Until one of our clients refers them to ArchAngels.
Students graduating out of some Cosmetology or Aesthetic schools, do not get an indepth training for working on brows, even after spending thousands of dollars and months of Hair and Beauty school training.
Eyebrows are briefly mentioned, when the waxing proceedure is taught because they have a lot of area to cover(no pun intended)
Well...the students are not at fault nor is the school. The schools can only teach so much, when they have to cover so much in their program....Hair cutting & styling , Hair coloring, Hair relaxing, Hair perming, Nails, Facials, Body & Brow Waxing etc.
So, I decided to open a school that would concentrate on shaping eyebrows and removal of facial hair with this gentle and non-chemical technique.
Also, currently there is such a dearth and acute shortage of good, reliable Threading Technicians/Practiioners/Artists in this emerging field. There are just not enough "Threading Technicians" to go around and everyone wants to have their very own perfect Brows.
People watch a little bit of youtube and then try to experiment on paying clients and then make terrible mistakes and their clients walk out angry and demanding refunds.
This was giving the Threading industry a bad name. I wanted to teach my students this skill the right way and in detail, so they can avoid the blunders committed of their competitors. I didn't want them to waste years perfecting their craft by
trial and error.
Finally ARCHANGELS THREADING ACADEMY (ATA) was established, in 2013.
ATA is based in Providence, Rhode Island. It is the first school that exclusively teaches Threading.
Now I am able to train my students, to my exacting standards and certify them.
But, that does not mean I hand out certificates like candy. It is hard dedicated work and commitment, that goes into our training, both for my students and me.
I want to share my experience and all that I have learnt about this beautiful skill, with my students to be able to fast track them to success.
My students undergo rigorous hands on training with me. Only after they are able to show me practical work results, do they receive their certificates(Level-I & Level-II)

ATA is for students who want to get certified and make it a full-time or even a part-time career and be successful in this new field.
